SOE Mentors Needed
We are seeking volunteers for our SOE Mentoring program who can help make a difference in our SOE students’ lives and academics. Some benefits of mentoring are:
Build a relationship with an SOE student
Improve academic support
Increase students’ perceptions of academic competence
Flexible daytime scheduling
Collaborate between the teacher and administrators
in order to monitor student progress.

If you are interested in working with our SOE Express Students, please contact:
Kathleen Jeremiassen, AP
Sheila Emery, AP

To Become a Mentor:
Sign a one-year commitment to meet with one student once a week for the school year.
Time with your student can be spent reading, tutoring, playing games and talking about their interests.
Observe professional standards of confidentiality.
Stay on the Scanlan Oaks campus with mentee.
A background check is required for the safety of our students.
Must attend a one hour orientation. Mentor training is facilitated at the FBISD Administration Building, 16431 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479

Write a Check & Help Us Reach Our Goal

2016-2017 Goal $50,000

The Write-A-Check fundraiser was designed to replace ALL of the commercial sales programs of the past, but we need every family to donate in order to reach our goal. No donation is too large or too small. Please complete your contribution form and return it with your donation by September 16th. It only takes a moment and the school keeps 100% of the money raised!

Remember, every student who returns a completed form, regardless of donation, will have his/her name entered into a weekly drawing to win one of several $25 and $50 gift cards PLUS a chance to win the grand prize of a $100 Visa gift card! Don’t delay, send in your form NOW.

Thank you for your continued support!
